The times I have had meetings which seemed so productive, with the assembled cast falling over themselves with keenness to volunteer for a task. Then … nothing.
That's because somebody has to follow up. Take a few notes, take a few names and write the script for the actions to come.
Perhaps more importantly, people are impressed by you quickly emailing through the actions, timings and those responsible. Feels like you're totally on the ball...
This is what makes things happen. You've taken the time and effort to email round what is going to happen, and made things crystal clear.
Then as if by magic, the project happens, and usually in good time. Any chasing that has to be done has first been flagged up, so it is an easy thing to put right.
